Attend a Candlelight Election Eve Vigil

Election Eve Candlelight Vigil

=====================

Attend a Vigil in Your Community

For peace, justice, security and democracy

Dear Friend,

On November 1, the night before the national election, I invite you
to participate in a candlelight vigil in your community. Join AFSC
in holding our nation in the light as a part of “Lighting the Path
for Democracy.”

Gather with your friends and neighbors to show that democracy
matters, call for clean elections, and remember the things we all
care about – peace, justice, and security.

Vigils will take place at 7 p.m. in communities like yours
throughout the country and abroad.

You have two ways to participate:

Find a vigil near you.

Go to www.afsc.org/vigil/ to find a vigil near you.

Sponsor a vigil in your community

You can advertise your vigil on our website and get vigil
organizers' information at www.afsc.org/vigil/.

This is a nonpartisan effort sponsored by the American Friends
Service Committee and endorsed many other organizations, including
the National Council of Churches and the United for Peace and
Justice coalition.

Most importantly, don’t forget to vote on November 2.

I look forward to seeing photos and hearing stories about your
vigil.

In peace,
Mary Ellen McNish
General Secretary, AFSC
