An eastern Kentucky soldier who was wounded in the head in Iraq keeps trying without success to get a medical discharge.
Sergeant Kevin Hannah of Paintsville still requires regular physical therapy after being shot in the head at a traffic checkpoint in Baghdad in May, last year.
Now disabled, the 23-year-old Hannah has been trying for over a year to get his medical discharge from the Army. He admits the experience has left him frustrated.
Hannah says he's contacted members of Kentucky's congressional delegation and state officials, but it hasn't helped. He also says he called Senator Jim Bunning's office but a Bunning field representative said he was unaware of Hannah's request for help.
The spokesman for Bunning promised to check into the situation.
